Welcome to J-Spot! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the J-Spot website, services, and applications (collectively, the “Services”). Please read these Terms carefully.
1. Agreement to Terms By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Services.
2. The J-Spot Service J-Spot is a platform that connects users (“JSpotters”) with local businesses, venues, and restaurants (“JSpots”) to discover events and promotional offers (“Spotlights”). We also feature sponsors and prize partners (“The Winner’s Circle”). J-Spot acts as a promotional and marketing partner for these third-party businesses.
3. User Accounts To access certain features, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account.
- Immediately notify us if you discover any security breach related to the Services.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. “Spotlight” Deals & Redemptions J-Spot promotes deals on behalf of local JSpots. When you claim or purchase a Spotlight deal, you are transacting with the JSpot, not with J-Spot.
- The JSpot is solely responsible for redeeming the Spotlight and for the quality of the goods and services provided.
- All Spotlights are subject to the terms and conditions stated in the deal’s “Fine Print.”
- Unless otherwise required by law, Spotlights are not redeemable for cash.
5. User Conduct You agree not to use the Services in a way that is illegal, harmful, or disruptive. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and with our JSpot partners.
6. Intellectual Property All content on the Services, including text, graphics, logos, and the J-Spot and MFL trademarks, are the exclusive property of J-Spot and its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.
7. Third-Party Links The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by J-Spot (such as our JSpot partners’ websites). We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party websites.
8. Termination We may terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability The Services are provided “AS IS.” J-Spot makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, J-Spot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of the Services.
10. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding related to the Services shall be brought exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction located in Guilford County, North Carolina.
11. Changes to Terms We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
